I’m voting for Obama because I believe that he has a desire to defend my rights, rather than disregard them in favor of corporations and extremists.
Please sign the petition to send a message that he and other politicians need to back off of this issue.

The Flower - the cutest little marijuana movie you ever did see
except it’s also kind of depressing, as is the case with most things dealing with weed in a society where it’s illegal. in any case, enjoy.

“It happens when a father realizes he doesn’t just love his daughter but also her wife. It happens when a soldier tells his unit that he’s gay and they tell him that they knew it all along and they didn’t care cause he was the toughest guy in the unit. It happens when a video sparks a movement to let every single young person know they’re not alone and things will get better. It happens when people look past their ultimately minor differences to see themselves in the hopes and struggles of their fellow human beings! That’s where change is happening! And that’s not just the story of the gay rights movement. That’s the story of America.”

Oh, and later he said he would be voting for “anyone but Romney, right up until he wins the nomination, and then it’s anyone but Obama.”

The fact that Ron Paul wants to legalize weed does not make up for the fact that he is racist, sexist, homophobic.
Prioritize, people!

i don’t enjoy libertarianism because its a selfish set of ideals. everything revolves around the individual. it leaves no room for the less fortunate, and does not seek to help those in need. it does not make for a truly productive society. a society that revolves around competition over the collective is not a society i would want to live in. therefore it goes against my principles. i believe in a society where everyone helps everyone else. i believe in education, healthcare, and public services. i believe in a safety net. i don’t think that the market would keep costs for things like healthcare or education down. the fault of libertarianism is that it rests on the idea that people are inherently good and will do the right thing, like give to charity so other people can be gifted healthcare. but they don’t. we all know that. and that’s why tuition at a good private liberal arts college is too high for the average person and that’s why people cannot afford insurance.
The Green State :: What’s wrong with free market libertarianism?
the libertarian conceit is that scrooge would have paid bob cratchet a better wage, if only he hadn’t been so encumbered by taxes and regulations. if only the crown had let scrooge be, he wouldn’t have had to be a bastard!
ron paul et al have failed to divine the central lesson of a dickens story written nearly //two centuries// ago.
